Unfortunately, not recyclable and must be placed in the garbage.

Fax Machine
Accepted at Electronic recycling events and Tox-a-Way Day. Check our website or give us a call for dates.

Fencing (metal)
Consult local scrap metal dealers for options.

Fencing (wood)
Heavy trash or landfill item.

Film Canisters
Unfortunately, not recyclable and must be placed in the garbage.

Fire Extinguisher
To dispose of a fire extinguisher, first discharge its contents, and then remove the valve. Do not place in the trash or recycling! Check with Fire Dept.

Flags
For proper disposal of U.S. flags that are no longer in usable condition, contact your local American Legion or VFW post.

Flammable Liquids
This is a hazardous material and must be brought to one of our Tox-a-Way days throughout the year. Please call or visit our website for Tox-a-Way event dates.  

Flea Killer/Flea Shampoo
This is a hazardous material and must be brought to one of our Tox-a-Way days throughout the year. Please call or visit our website for Tox-a-Way event dates.  

Flooring

If not fit for reuse, heavy trash pick up or landfill.

Fluorescent Bulbs (including compact fluorescent lights)
This is a hazardous material and must be brought to one of our Tox-a-Way days throughout the year. Please call or visit our website for Tox-a-Way event dates.  You may also call us at 812-663-0960 for other options.

Food
Compost in your backyard or place in the garbage.

Freezers
Refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, dehumidifiers. Must be brought to Tox-a-Way Day.

Freon
This is a hazardous material and must be brought to one of our Tox-a-Way days throughout the year. Please call or visit our website for Tox-a-Way event dates.  

Fungicide
These are hazardous materials and must be brought to Tox-a-Way Day that occurs the first Saturday after Labor Day from 8-3 p.m.

Furniture
Bookcases, box springs, bureaus, cabinets, couches, end tables, kitchen/dining tables, futons, loveseats, mattresses (standard or waterbed), Over-stuffed chairs, upholstered chairs, wooden furniture all need to be sold or given away if still usable. If not, these are heavy trash pick-up items. Some contract haulers will take when a scheduled pick-up is arranged.
