Wallboard
Gypsum board is usable by farmers to spread on fallow fields. Otherwise, take to landfill or transfer station.


Washing Machine

Call local scrap metal dealers-most will accept this item. Accepted at Tox-a-way type event as well. Call 812-663-0960 for dates or check our website.


Water Bottles

Bottles that held bottled water are accepted at our drop off recycling centers and by curbside program.


Waterbed Mattress

Heavy trash pickup or landfill.


Weed Killer

This is a hazardous material and must be taken to one of our Tox-a-Way events. Please call 812-663-0960 for dates or visit our website.


Wet Paper

Unfortunately, not recyclable and must be placed in the garbage.


White Goods

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS INCLUDE: Refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, dehumidifiers. These items can all be taken to our Tox-a-Way events. Call 812-663-0960 for dates or check our website.


White Paper

Accepted by curbside recycling programs and at our drop off recycling locations.

Window Frames
(with or without glass)
Heavy trash pickup or landfill. There may be a disposal fee. Offer to Goodwill or Habitat for Humanity for reuse.


Window Glass
(out of frames)
Unfortunately, not recyclable and must be placed in the garbage. Carefully package broken glass to avoid injury to sanitation workers.


Windshields

Windshields are not recyclable. Landfill. There may be a disposal fee.


Wire Hangers
(scrap metal)
Not recyclable and must be placed in the garbage or taken to scrap metal dealer.


Wood Ash

Unfortunately, not recyclable and may be placed in the garbage, once it is stone cold.

Wrapping Paper

Unfortunately, not recyclable and must be reused or placed in the garbage.
